Oooh.... dangerous territory. I wouldn't call engineer 'types' uncreative. Very unwise..
Yes FuzzMunky that was unwise of me and i stand appropriately corrected. There are so many creative engineers and in fact one might argue that enginnering itself is a creative act. I will not say that again -:o

I think you can easily make $70-$90/month by flipping burger....
I think he meant some one trying to make a living on a "Burger King" wage could afford that.
You do realize that when you are making a living you have to for a roof over your head, food, heating, transportation to and from work (at least if not to the grocery store too) all of which are more important than a cellphone plan (nevermind a smartphone plan which really is a luxury).
Sure, if that's the only thing they have to pay for they can easily afford the smartphone plan. I know I couldn't afford it if I wasn't splitting it with my roommate (family plan with lowest minutes, extra line, his company gets him a discount for being an employee with them, no texting). Even then with the hours I'm getting I'd probably be better off not having it (I just got so addicted and I'm not quite at that point yet).

I cannot get outlook off of my computer. I deleted everything I can think of but once in a while when my computer has a problem, when I restart there are recovered items in the trash and one is always an outlook file of some sort.

I must live wrong or something. All these people are worried about being tracked? Are they all spies, or gang members, or something?
hehe, The government, or whomever, can track me all they want. It would be a most boring exercise for them.

But why are they charging 1.99 universally for TV eps AND (here's the rub) short commercials, SNL skits, and Pixar shorts? $2 for a 45 second to 1 minute skit??!! You have to be kidding me Apple. They need some serious revisions to their video store.I agree. While I like having a simple pricing system, i.e. $1.99 for standard TV shows. They should have other price points for items not worth $1.99. Or for SNL skits sell the entire SNL episode for $1.99 with each skit separated into a different short video file, that would be nice.

I've believed it since the beginning of the rumors and it is getting more and more rock solid.... there will be NO iPhone.
I think it has gotten to the point that people think it will be out so bad that the rumor has been allowed to live on.
Why would Apple want to get into the cell phone business? I could think of only one good reason... the iPod will not last for much longer unless they add some serious additional functionality to it.
I believe that Apple has more to gain from the "iTV" model plan than going cellular.
Everyone has a TV. Everyone NEEDS a TV. Everyone LOVES their TV. Not everyone needs a cellphone. Not everyone LOVES a cellphone.
Cellphones have become a burden on society. Why do we need to be intouch every second of the day? We don't. Cellphones are the only form of technology out there that actually causes grief for other individuals. Think about it, how many times has the movie you are watching, the dinner you are trying to enjoy or the church mass you are trying to worship at been interrupted by the "lovely" little blaring chime of a cellphone? Or even better yet, that person picking up the call and talking on it as if the person on the other end of the line is more deaf than Helen Keller. How many times has someone cut you off in traffic or almost hit you, only to get a look at them to see that they are gabbing away on their phone, oblivious of the fact they almost killed you?
My family has a TracFone. ONE TracFone. It is to be used when we are out traveling or when someone is out shopping and might need to call back home for something. No conversations are held on it, that's why a have a Verizon bill each month for my home lines. Besides, why would anyone think I would want to hear their conversation with someone about how "Brad is such a dick because he hasn't called me in 3 days. Do you think I shouldn't have slept with him on our first date?"??? ***Real conversation I had the "privilege" of "over hearing" right behind me in my ear one day standing in line at the mall.***
Where are the GOOD rumors. Like about what new Mac Apple is coming out with? Or what new feature the iPod is going to have to blow everyone away again? How about this one, "When is Asteroid coming out???"
I'm tired of iPhone this and iPhone that. Give it a rest people. How long has this rumor been going? Maybe the better part of 18 months? Every single Mac Expo and Convention gets this crappy rumor attached to it and NOTHING HAPPENS.
Ahhhhh.... I feel much better now. Thank you.

In which case, how about they tell us? I've been holding off on buying '06 since December because '07 is supposedly imminent. If they told us '07 definitely would not be out until the end of this year, I'd just get my credit card out and purchase '06, but I don't want to do that if '07 will be out in early May. I'm not asking for a detailed feature breakdown, just a quick comment on whether it's going to be out soon or at the same time as Leopard.
Sometimes Apple's stupid secrecy gets to me big time :(
Yeah, in this case I agree. Normally I don't get too worked up about product release-date weirdness--most of the time it's part of the fun--but they put a date on this one for consecutive years and then left us hanging. It seems pretty likely that the rumors of a name change and a Leopard-timed release will prove accurate, and that'll be cool in October or whenever...but that doesn't make the uncertainty of the first quarter of this year any less annoying.

it's sad that these websites give credence to this ridiculous rumor and that anyone over 10 believes it's even remotely possible or sensible.
that would be like apple releasing the iphone 5 and iphone 6 in the same year.
what's wrong with these idiots?

I expect some sort of wifi feature that lets you make calls using the internet rather than your cell provider, but what service provider would let that happen?
That technology is called UMA and T-Mobile's testing it now.

Jon Stewart seems to have goofed here, and there's the problem. There's no way unring this bell. Jon missed about 90% of the story, and according to his views, opening a criminal investigation is not ok if it'd going to cause the plaintiff bad publicity, or if the plaintiff seems "mean."
Jon needs to stick to political commentary, which is usually a lot easier to play with than scenarios that involve finer points of law.
Section 2080 of the Civil Code provides that any person who finds and takes charge of a lost item acts as "a depositary for the owner." If the true owner is known, the finder must notify him/her/it within a reasonable time and "make restitution without compensation, except a reasonable charge for saving and taking care of the property." Id. 2080. If the true owner is not known and the item is worth more than $100, then the finder has a duty to turn it over to the local police department within a reasonable time. Id. 2080.1. The owner then has 90 days to claim the property. Id. 2080.2. If the true owner fails to do so and the property is worth more than $250, then the police publish a notice, and 7 days after that ownership of the property vests in the person who found it, with certain exceptions. Id. 2080.3.
Moving along, Gawker Media better be ready to defend themselves because shield laws won't help if you've committed a felony in order to do a story. That US$5,000 payment is a major smoking gun if Apple can prove the prototype iPhone was officially stolen, which means Gawker Media paid to buy stolen property, a felony in the state of California.

What were your cuttings?
Oh awesome - thanks for the information.
Both of my cuttings are on my inner biceps (sp?) - on the left is a "Chi" (18th letter of Hebrew alphabet - symbolizes life) which I got when I was having some problems with, well, living. On the right is a triple moon goddess symbol, which seemed appropriate given my witchcraft. Actually, this one is a bit more aesthetic to me as well - I got it because I like it and like it because it is what it is.
