Up-and-coming German actor Tom Schilling (The Baader Meinhof Complex) stars as a young Adolf Hitler in Dawn of Evil: Rise of the Reich, a biopic recounting the early career of the most infamous dictator in history, tracing Hitler's transformation from humble origins as an aspiring art student to a power-obsessed and ruthless egomaniac. Premiering at the Montréal Film Festival back in 2009 under the title Mein Kampf, Dawn of Evil will arrive on these shores with a DVD release later this month. It is of course rare for German cinema to tackle the rather sensitive subject of the former Führer and while we aren't expecting Downfall: The Beginning, this could still be worth checking out. Let's face it, if anyone could do with a reboot it's this guy.

Dawn of Evil: Rise of the Reich is released on February 28th.
