I agree with getting mirrors in there.. it doesn't have to be full length mirrors that you might be thinking are girly. I have some black framed mirrors from ikea which add a nice touch.

I looked at the JavaScript code that performs the vulnerability test. It's rather strange-looking, like most code designed to exploit a vulnerability. It uses a big array of X's that it fills then strips out all the unprintable characters.

I am having trouble using the photos uploaded to IPhoto. For some reason, when I try to upload these to Shutterfly or Snapfish, they are telling me the file is too small to even print as a 4X6. Is IPhoto resizing the photos? The pictures print beautifully if I just take the card to CVS or if I print directly from the card on my little inkjet. I used to use a PC and I never had trouble uploading to these photo sites. What am I doing wrong?? The camera is set to the highest resolution and is at 12.1 MP.

It's been weeks now. My mac has forgotten everything. Some stuff just pop ups, and then I have to approve it or not. Stuff like if I give some program permission to do something. And then it always forget the password to wi-fi. Everytime I restart it or it goes on sleep mode, it asks for the password. And today I can't even get on the net because it has forgotten the ip-address.
It all began after I restarted my mac normally, as usual.
Someone who know what is wrong, and tell me what to do?

If you are using FCP you should have QT Pro which means you can encode to an h.264 mov and and many other things.
If you don't have QT Pro you can purchase as a standalone upgrade from QT for $30. All you do is buy a Serial Number from Apples Website, and open QT's preferences and enter it. You're DONE. Not QT-X this is a newer version of quicktime but doesn't have a pro version yet.
Now fore people that are stuck PC's. And instead of creating some type of h.264 encoded video.
Get Flip4Mac. This is a plugin for QT Pro that adds another option for encoding to Windows Media. That way there is no problems viewing on a PC.
Also you can export right from FCP using QT conversion exporting and choose Windows Media option and adjust settings that fits you.

PCI-express G5 does not throttle as much. If you use your own programs, avoid classic events. Use carbon events instead.

The site you listed in your profile? I don't think a third grader could make that. Maybe a fourth grader, but definately not a third grader.;)
LOL - I had a friend that half-way built a gorgeous site, but had a sort of life change and ended up not being able to finish it. :o
It was really beautiful with a lof of interactive Flash elements.
Now I actually have to learn something, I guess.

I think that is the English way. I'm currently living in England, and it seems like they get to things whenever they feel like it. Basically a tea break comes before anything else.

I wouldn't wait for the Macintels, but I heard there are some dual-dual-Powermacs around the corner - I'd wait two more weeks for them.

Oh well, thought I had a chance :( ;)
Doesn't matter, I'm approaching the big 500 anyway, so you'll be able to see it soon enough. :)
It was fun anyway!
Lacero get's my vote out of this lot btw.

It's been down for a while. I went there a couple of weeks ago to check the specs on a friend's G3 iMac... it must be frustrating having a site so successful that it needs to be shut down.
Let's hope that never happens here.

So I keep getting this error while playing an assortment of vids on my new mac pro in quicktime. The video plays for a random amount of time, but eventually the video freezes while the audio remains playing. If I try to force quit the entire system then freezes until a hard reset. Here is the error message from the console every time it happens "/Applications/QuickTime Player.app/Contents/MacOS/QuickTime Player[8855]: AVF error: Gen6IntelGVAQueryAVDCommandStatus, TimeOut. Resetting." I am not having much success searching for this error on the boards or google. Anyone have any idea what is going on with this?

SO, let's try a couple of things first:
1) Insert disc 1, and power the laptop down.
2)With the laptop turned off, hold down the C key on the keyboard, and while holding the key down, press the power button. Continue holding the C key down until you see the grey Apple logo in the middle of the screen. This is booting from the CD. You should get to a menu, and from the top menu bar, it should say 'Utilities' (depending on version of OS). Select Disk Utility. Select the HD, and erase.
Unsure of all what happened previously, but wiping the drive and starting from new may help.
After erase is complete, power down laptop. Make sure disc 1 is still in drive. This time, hold down the C key, power the laptop up. Follow the prompts to installing the OS. Hopefully, this will work. Let me know. If this doesn't take care of issue, it may point to another issue, possibly hard drive. Not uncommon, not a major install, just more of a time consuming install. Can get them relatively cheap from all over. I prefer MicroCenter because of their volume prices. I have an earlier model of iBook, the Clamshell G3 366. I also had an iBook G4 1.2 Ghz, both required a hard drive within months of me owning them. Replaced hard drives, and they are still running to this day.
Sorry you haven't gotten many responses on here. Older items dont garner as much attention, but this is still a great place to get information.
Thank you I understand I'm dealing with a fossil of a laptop :( But I will follow your directions and let you know the out come of it.
Thank you again also for the info
regards
Mike

Try a factory reset: unplug it from power, and while pressing the reset button plug it in again while still holding the reset button for a few seconds.

Don't install a Dev Preview that you downloaded from Demonoid. That would probably be a great place to start fixing that issue.

I want to trade my one week old 16GB iPod Touch for an 8GB iPhone. The only reason I want to trade is because I just like the iPhone better. There are a few small scratches on the back, but that is bound to happen because it is like a mirror. It is in great condition otherwise, like I said, it is exactly one week old. Let me know if you are interested.
