'Friends' star Matthew Perry is returning to rehab, PEOPLE reports. The 41-year-old actor, who has struggled with prescription pills and alcohol in the past, is returning to rehab to continue his recovery.
"I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery," he said in a statement. "Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web."
Perry was in rehab twice before: once in 1997 and again in 2001. And in 2000, he was hospitalized for alcohol-related pancreatitis.
A source told PEOPLE there wasn't a relapse and that Perry plans to enter a facility soon.
The actor currently stars on ABC sitcom, 'Mr. Sunshine.'
