NFL: Aaron Rodgers Says He'll Play Sunday

Aaron Rodgers alerted the media that he would be on the field this week. The starting quarterback for the 8-7 Green Bay Packers sent a text message
stating simply, "I'm cleared".

Rodgers sat out last week's game to nurse a concussion. His backup,Matt Flynn, performed ably in his absence but, it's clear the Packers need Rodgers' leadership and presence if they expect to have a shot at the NFC Wild Card.

The first of two critical games begins with this weekend's match-up with the Giants—a team still reeling after an improbable loss to the Eagles this past Sunday.

If the Packers can win the game, they stay in the playoff hunt, if not, things could get tight, and what seemed to be a season of promise at the start becomes an utter failure.

The NFL regular season is winding down—it's time to pull out all the stops.
