Stunning Oregon wedding :: via Style Me Pretty

I fell in love with this lovely wedding that Abby at Style Me Pretty blogged about last week. The wedding was held in Salem, Oregon (yes, that is where I live!) and photographed by a favorite photographer of mine, Jessica Hill. The bride, Allie, is stunning and wearing a Twigs & Honey "Flourish" feather hair piece:

Congrats to the couple!
Thank you Abby, for the beautiful post.

Mullet Hairstyles

Mullet hairstyles are relativity short on the top and both sides of the head and long in the back.

The Mullet hairstyle was most popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when it was most common in southern parts of the United States.
Mullet hairstyles are associated with the catchphrase "business in the front, party in the back".

Oregon State Fair 2009

Fun!
Matt, my sis, her husband, and I all went to the Oregon State Fair Saturday evening and it was a blast. I loved the animals - way too cute. My sister and I rode that crazy "Big Sling" ride you see at the amusement parks and fairs similar to this:

I wish I had taken pictures but I didn't want to bring my camera because it was threatening rain all evening/night.
Oh... and don't forget the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest on September 17th-20th. Matt and I plan to eat a ton like last year. Hope to see you there!

Another sneak peak...

One of my favorites...

Faux Hawk Hairstyles

Faux Hawk hairstyles are very similar to the traditional Mohawk style, the difference being in the length on the sides of the head, which is quite a bit longer with the Faux Hawk, where as the Mohawk style is generally shaven on both sides and often quite long on the top.

Faux Hawk hairstyles are most commonly worn by people which are more trendy and fashion conscious, where as Mohawk hairstyles are usually worn by those in the underground community scenes.

Lovely colors

Sorry for the light posting again this week. Last minute, I got a few big projects/shoots to work on with nearly impossible turnaround times... but I love a challenge. Although, my hands are really tired and my fingers are multi-colored from dyes and paints, I am really, really excited about some new pieces I've finished and some new ones I'll be scrambling to finish today. More on this in a few weeks, but here is a sneak peak:
