Former Georgia linebacker, Justin Houston, has been selected 70th overall, by the Kansas City Chiefs, in the third round of tonights NFL Draft.
Houston is thought to have been dropped from early round consideration due to a positive drug test at the NFL Combine, however there seems to be more concern about his overall work ethic than his character.
It is felt, by some, that Houston has a tendency towards taking plays off and not giving max effort on every down. In order to become better at the pro level he will have to show more consistency in his play and his approach to training.
He should be a good fit in Kansas City—where the defense is young and hungry—but he will need good coaching to reach his potential in good time.
Congrats to Justin Houston.
