Vampires at Christmas

At this time of year, when the winter holidays are upon us, everyone wants to hang with friends or family.  Since I was visiting Manhattan, I had to drop in on my favorite vampires in the Arnhem Society.  It gave me a chance to do a little impromptu interview with Vampire David Hilliard.  (Note: The Vampires in Manhantan refer to me as Lily A. Snow.)

Susan:  David, what's your favorite thing to do this time of year?

David:  Ice skating at Rockefeller Center beats everything.  Laura and I really love that.

Susan:  What's your favorite holiday food?

David:  You're going to laugh.

Susan:  No, I won't.  I promise.

David:  Gingerbread men. 

Susan:  (repressing a giggle)  I will have to make you some.

David:   Unfortunately, I won't be able to eat them.  I promised Laura that I wouldn't eat until she could.

Susan:   When will that be?

David:  In about 95 years.

Laura (comes over and sits on his lap):  I'm not going to let you wait that long for gingerbread.  If Lily brings you gingerbread men, then you can eat them. 

David (kisses her):  Lily, hold onto your lifemate with both hands, because finding true love makes every second of existence pure ecstasy. 

Laura (kisses him):  Let's go ice skating.  (Her fangs are showing and she rubs them against his shoulder.  When a female vampire does that, she wants a lot more than ice skating.)

David (laughs):  Lily is getting to know us too well.
