I know people have been doing white conversions for months using knock-off parts. Now that the REAL THING exists, are there any places selling the real OEM parts? I held off on doing my conversion because I didn't want knock-off crap. I want to buy the real thing! Help?

Hey guys,
Hope everyone is doing good, I would like to ask if anyone is experiencing a delay from Apple and retail stores regarding the white 32GB iPhone 4. I can't seem to find any in stock at any retailer :(.
I ordered mine via apple online UK but still waiting for them to change the status to preparing for shipment.
Talk about demand for the 32GB version, the 16GB is available everywhere near me.
Hmmm....I'm not sure. I guess some ppl were waiting for the white iPhone 4 in 32gb.

what kind of ram did u order and from where? can u please post a link, i want to max out my ram aswell but i dont know which one is the right one to buy for the new imacs
Any DDR3-1333 (PC10600), 1.5V, CL9 204-pin SO-DIMM will work. I ordered Micron (Crucial) since that's almost always what ships in your Mac anyways.

That is funny. But, just like those funniest home videos, you have to wonder if they are real or staged.

OK, I'll admit I am totally obsessed the little jewel called nano.
Mind you, I have a 40GB iPod photo (the original  ) that I use every day and a shuffle that sits on the bulleting board unused most of the time since I had to stop running due to my back.
And, my better half will kill me (not out loud, though it will be something along the lines of "it's your money") when he gets home tomorrow.
And, I should put the money in the 30-inch monitor fund...
Christ make the voices stop... :D

... I was wondering if there is a way to reference a button by its tag...
1. Open the UIView class reference.
2. Search for the term tag.
3. Observe that one of the found items is the method viewWithTag:.

I use Due and Todo.
Due's great for repeating tasks and reminding me of something I really could easily forget to do were my phone not beeping at me every minute, but it's too simple for projects.
Todo's better for projects, and I like that choosing a due date is easier and faster, and that I can easily modify a few tasks all at the same time rather than one by one (like say postponing a few tasks till later).
Most importantly both back up online, so were I to lose my iPhone or do a complete factory restore (I've had to do that twice when my iPhone back up had saved the bug that crashed my iPhone in the first place), I can easily restore all my reminders and tasks.

nope. mac15 said that it would be good w/o a g3, because it would keep the price fairly affordable. i think he means that it would be fairly affordable to leave the g3 in the iBook rather than put in a g4. hence "u mean it would be good with no g4. :)

Yeah still getting this, albeit less than DP1, in my opinion.
It looks horrible though. Hopefully a fix is found soon!

BTW, you do not need to backup the scratch disk, as it's temporary data.
Thank you for cleaning that up. It's what I suspected, but wasn't sure. Either way, I'll have the space on Disk 2 since I'll be using a spare 1TB HDD that I already have.
Budget...I want to stay at $3000 or less including the computer.
The Mac Pro refurb is $2300 inc. tax. RAM is going to cost $300 so that's $2600, leaving $400 for the hard drives.
I already have several 1TB disks, of which I will use one and I have one 2TB external I can use. That means I need to buy:
Two SSD drives
One 2TB internal HDD
One 3TB internal HDD
One 3TB external HDD
I'm thinking that will all cost more than $400 but I can go over a couple hundred if needed.

In the vintage Mac world, the 80s era machines are beginning to need capacitor replacements. The thinking is to just do all the caps, simply because the others are likely to go soon anyway.
I have a Rev-0 Apple II from '77 whose power supply clearly has a cap that's near death - a loud *pop!* whenever I flip the switch. For now, I've gotten around this by just leaving the switch in the On position and hooking up a Kensington System Saver fan, whose switch is fine. I'm just buying time though. :)

MS has a free app called Remote Desktop Connection that lets you use a Windows machine over the network. While this probably isn't quite what you were looking for, you might find it useful.

Hi there,
does anyone know if it is possible to use a Black Macbook as a keyboard/trackpad for an iMac? The idea would be to use the iMac as the computer and the macbook just as a keyboard/trackpad and if possible as secondary screen [maybe too much to ask for...:)]
Thanks in advance!

Wunderlist is nice, fairly basic in appearance, but clean. One aspect that it does not have, or I cannot find, it a way to set a reminder, alert or alarm for an action item. I don't do this for a lot of things, but it is VERY helpful at times. I wanted a new chair for my desk and storables had their great bungie chair on sale. I wanted to set an alert to the last day of the sale as I knew I had a lot of things going on at work and home and could easily forget. The last day, an alarm went off to remind me and I was glad as I had gotten a call and pulled my mind away. I made it to the store before it closed to grab a chair and I would NOT have remembered it my app had not alerted me.
If anyone knows if wunderlist has this feature, I'd be happy to find out how/where it is.
Thanks.
Reminders/alarms/notices are a piece of cake on the iPad and iPhone - on your Mac not so much.
On either the iPad or iPhone your enter your task. It will show up in your list. Tap it and a new screen will come up which allows you to set a due date and reminder (push and/or email). Haven't found out how to do it on my Mac though.

So...can anyone tell me why with Airplay iPhone gaming cannot stream to the AppleTV?
Imagine it right. Tapping on the iPhone screen with on screen controls but the TV showing the actual game being played.

Adding TEXT to printed form-
This is my first query- hope I am in the 'right' place ;)
I have several forms to fill in - Husband just admitted to Rest Home :(
I wish to scan form and then add text - tried in iphoto - lovely copy but can't edit.
This is my first Mac - after years of PC. Do I need to 'buy' a special programme?
grateful thanks to all

Alright so I made the mistake of installing lion on my macbook pro and would like to uninstall and restore from my time machine back up. Only trouble is, can I restore from a time machine back up made while was running lion? Or am I going to have to revert back to a point before that? I'll be installing Snow Leopard from an install disc.
