According to 247sports.com, Georgia Bulldog quarterback commit, Christian LeMay has agreed to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl. The Bowl will be televised on Versus and will air on December 31st at 4pm from Myrtle Beach, SC.
The O-D Bowl, as it is more commonly known, is in it's third season of existence, but has already built a reputation for fielding some of the best prospects in the country.
2007's (the inaugural year of the O-D Bowl) roster, alone, featured Stephen Garcia (South Carolina), Cam Newton (Auburn), Joe Haden (Florida), Jarvis Jones (Then an LSU commit), and Chad Jones (LSU).
However, there is a history of Georgia commitments making their appearance:
2008 saw Cordy Glenn (OL), Brandon Boykin (DB), and Marcus Dowtin (LB) take the field.
While 2009 saw Mike Gilliard (LB), Kwame Geathers (DT), and dismissed former players, Zach Mettenberger (QB) and Montez Robinson (LB).
LeMay is currently sitting out his senior season due after a rules violation led to a 30-day suspension from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. The suspension, once served, would have dampened any possibility of his playing for his high school team so LeMay elected to sit out the year.
