After nabbing an Academy Award nomination for Best Visual Effects yesterday, Clint Eastwood's latest directorial effort Hereafter is now gearing up for release in the UK this coming Friday. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg and written by English screenwriter Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon), Hereafter contains three parallel stories that explore how death affect can people in different ways. Eastwood reunites with Invictus star Matt Damon, who leads the cast as a psychic medium embarking on a relationship with Bryce Dallas Howard (Terminator Salvation), while Cécile de France (Switchblade Romance) portrays a TV news reporter caught up in a tsunami and newcomers Frankie and George McLaren play twin brothers, one of whom is killed in a automobile accident. Also featured in the cast are Jay Mohr (Small Soldiers), Lyndsey Marshal (The Hours) and Thierry Neuvic (Don't Look Back), while respected British stage actor Derek Jacobi makes a cameo appearance as himself.
