Rivals released their final FBS Rankings of 2010, for all 120 Division I teams, and The Georgia Bulldogs came in at No. 51—behind seven other SEC teams.
Said Mike Huguenin, of Rivals, "The Bulldogs couldn't overcome a 1-4 start that included an inexplicable loss to Colorado. The loss to UCF in the Liberty Bowl, though, might have been the low point of a miserable season."
Georgia fell behind the Auburn Tigers (No. 1), LSU (No. 8), Alabama (No. 10), Arkansas (No. 12), Mississippi State (No. 20), South Carolina (No. 23), and Florida (No. 35).
The rankings show the west ruled the SEC this past season, but that's a trend that could change in 2011—with just about every team in the west breaking in a new quarterback.
The remaining SEC teams—Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt—finished 62nd, 63rd, 79th, and 110th, respectively.
